San Francisco’s Transamerica Pyramid, Intergalactic Style!

A morning walk through lifting fog and there it was… minus the ‘star shine’… K’lee L.

What is it with this brain of mine? San Francisco’s Transamerica Pyramid, tallest building on the city’s skyline, looks great as it is, but of late I tend to envision more. If you’ve seen the depictions of San Francisco in director J.J. Abbrams’ ‘Star Trek’ films, you get an idea of what I’m talking about.

Ironically, the original sky and pyramid combination that morning looked great. The early gray fogginess was dissipating, showing streaks of red and gold morning light banding across the upper section of the structure. Clouds seemed to move into prearranged positions. A very beautiful sight!

It wasn’t enough for me. Once back home, I toyed around with a few effects before settling on this. I mean, imagine seeing this view every morning as the sun breaks through the clouds?

I guess it’s just another case of ‘build your own world’ concept I mentioned a few posts back taken to harmless extremes.

Now, imagine for a minute this was a spaceship blasting off to Venus. Would you want to join me?
