Flower Photography: Another Experiment in Color and Visual Manipulation

Once more into the color manipulation with a few drops of much needed rain added to the mix. –   K’lee L.

I took so many orchid photos at the Pacific Orchid Expo a short while back, it seems fitting I make more of them available here. In an attempt not to bore from ‘floral repetitiveness’, I decided to continue my experiments with sepia toning and other photographic filtering.

For instance, by giving the words in the photo a violet hue, the word ‘memoire’ (French for memory) somehow feels more pronounced, more memorable, more emotional. At least it plays out in my head that way! I also added a touch of rain to the mix. California isn’t out of the woods yet in its need for more drought-relief rain so I offer this photo to the rain gods and goddesses of all pantheon in case they take pity and want to help us out.
