Flower Photography: Singular Beauty, Universal Appeal

singular beauty, universal appeal- K’lee L.

There will always be objects in nature that make us stop; make us pay attention if only for a moment before returning to our thoughts and destinations. On a recent hike through Golden Gate Park here in San Francisco, this single lily seemed to dare me not to stop and acknowledge Nature’s power, her subtlety, and her magic.

There are ongoing drought issues in California, issues that are pretty serious, but something about this lone flower surrounded by deep, rich greenery for a moment made me forget the state’s water problems and focus on the gift of Nature.

Hope you’re having a great Sunday.
