Lion of Zion: A King of the Jungle Re Imagined

The King of the Jungle in a universe all his own- K’lee L.

Once again I find my imagination moving toward graphic creations based on a photo taken some time ago. This one is special because the lion behind all the cosmic happenings in the above graphic was actually very close to me. He was so close the other people near me suddenly seemed to remember they had other places to be and left me on my own in the presence of this majestic king.

His closeness was bought on by the constant click of my camera’s shutter; a sound I assume this king wasn’t too familiar with. Fortunately for me, a large glass panel separated us there at the San Francisco Zoo, and watching his eyes as he approached, I safely assume he couldn’t see me from his side; he could only hear the constant shutter sound and was in the mood to investigate.

I ended up with an entire sequence of shots showing his approach step- by- step. When he was close enough I could have reached out and touched his head, I stopped shooting and just knelt in awe. Needless to say, my silence wasn’t nearly as interesting and the king of the jungle, less than a foot away, simply meandered off.

As for the celestial graphic? It’s just one more experiment in photo conversion, one granted to me by a most curious king!

  1. “Needles to say”? Is this some sort of interrogation technique? ;~}
    I like what you’ve done with the photo, but I can’t help thinking it’s a little bit too busy, I’d like to see more of the original image coming through the cosmic happenings.

          1. And I shall keep one eye on the Cosmos and the other on your pingback’d challenge, good sir. I shall also consider a second creation based on your excellent recommendations.

          2. I did like it and I commented on the original post of yours to the fact. On it I mentioned which version I liked most… did you see all that? I bet you haven’t looked yet…

    1. Amazing, my friend… simply amazing! Keep your eyes on the cosmos, there’s a lion heading your way. Oh, by the way, I’m the biggest fan of your second add.
