sunlight on trees at the heart of Golden Gate Park – K’lee L.
A brand new week, a Monday, can only mean one thing: time for ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’. If you’ve been following myself and Dale’s challenge posts, the first thing you’ll likely notice is the numbering- I’m at number five while Dale is at number six. The reason being I did a two-parter a few challenges ago and Dale didn’t- simple.
Now, to see what Dale’s cooked up this week, just tap this link.
With my last post dedicated to Earth Day, I thought I’d continue along the same vein by making this week’s challenge all about the trees!
The photo above comes to you from San Francisco’s tree-filled Golden Gate Park. From a photo perspective Cherry Blossom trees don’t generally need help looking any more incredible as they come into their own.
I did give this one a little more saturated color and a bit of a dream look by highlighting the um, light above the branches and darkening the shadowed areas. Why? No particular reason, just more of my experimentation!
So that’s it, this week’s challenge: make it about TREES, any type that inspires or uplifts you. As always, even if you don’t choose to add your interpretation to our challenge, consider the importance of trees where you live. I’m willing to bet you’ll find reason to be grateful for them just like me…
Also, don’t forget to check out the links above. There’s lots of tree info to be had.
A final word:
Up until now, Dale and my challenges have been individual concepts. We both just let it be what it was. As of this coming week, we’re going to try sticking to one challenge for the both of us AND for you! We’ll attempt having a prompt up on Friday for the coming Monday’s challenge. (I thought you’d like that…)

Beautiful photo, K’Lee. A tree leafed in glitter. 🙂

Thanks, Diana. It’s one more of those natural phenomenon I never tire of; watching Cherry Blossoms bloom and fall. Nature’s own glitter!

Love this. It looks like the tree canopy is levitating.
I haven’t actually numbered my posts, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

That’s exactly what I thought when I first saw it from a distance. Funny thing, a week or so later the entire tree had changed!
