Ah, another weekend bites the dust, and while there was lots of ‘interesting things going on’, I for one am glad to find myself with feet firmly planted in a brand new Monday.
Monday. That means it’s not only the beginning of a new week, but time for ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’.
This week Dale took the helm and created the challenge. He called it, ‘Into the Woods’, which I like because I’ve done lots of woodland-based shots. You’ll find his very interesting post/challenge here
I, in trying to do something a little ‘off my beaten path’, went for a first ever woodland slideshow.
These four shots are all photos I took while out and about ‘into the woods’ of San Francisco. They range from:
A black and white of fallen trees,
to sunlight leaking through early morning wooded spaces (captured while on a bike ride out over the Golden Gate Bridge),
to a sepia-toned panorama of Sutro Heights overlooking the mighty Pacific Ocean,
And lastly (to my decision to stand in) a freezing fog cloud as it washed over the Marin Headlands on the far side of Golden Gate Bridge. (I’m willing to suffer (slightly) for my art!!!)
I am first and foremost an ocean guy. I’m undoubtedly happiest and most at peace when I’m near large bodies of water… like … the ocean. However, I’ll be first to say the wooded areas here in the Bay Area are pretty powerful too. I can only hope my photos do them justice.
So there you have it, my version of Dale’s ‘Into the Woods’ Cosmic Photo Challenge!
It doesn’t take much to join in, you know. Just create a post with ‘Into the Woods’ as a theme/title, use the tag #CosPhoChal, and link your post to either Dale’s post or mine and you’re all set… easy-peasy!
