In Monday’s post, an answer to Dale’s   ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’, I chose to use a slideshow like the one above to express my ‘into the woods’ style. It was the first time using the option on my blog in a post and you know what? I liked and continue to like the result.

Today, I chose to post, and again slideshow you, my favorite time of the day- sunrise. I’ve had opportunity to take lots of photos of the sun rising over San Francisco from a variety of awesome spots, which is why I chose four show-stoppers that had me and a number of others taking pause to appreciate and in most cases photograph the celestial happenings on each of these given mornings.

It’s ironic none of these sunrises lasted very long. I guess that’s the whole point. It you don’t take time to stop and appreciate, the moment might be lost forever… until the next epic light show comes along, offering you a chance to marvel at the magnificence of Mother Nature.

    1. Thanks, Steve. Glad you liked them. I was there this morning in the cold, damp, tear-inducing wind and left after a few hours feeling as exhilarated, grateful, and free as I always do. Glad I get to chronicle these sensational happenings!

      1. And I appreciating you sharing them. I love sunrises, and they’re even more spectacular over water. The early morning hours in particular are good for the soul. I envy you, but in a good way. 🙂

        1. I’ve gotten lots of these while on my bike. On occasion I’ve even been in transit over the Golden Gate Bridge, which is probably the most phenomenal place to see the sun come up.
