K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Fast Cars!

Hello Monday morning. At least that what it is in my small portion of the world at this moment. It’s the start of a new week for many of us after what I hope was a great weekend.

It’s also time again for the ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge!

For a peek at Dale’s excellent interpretation of the challenge, check out his artistry here

So, this past Friday I provided a prompt for the challenge today. The prompt I gave was FAST CARS. As is always the case, you get to interpret FAST CARS in any way you choose.

I happen to be a fan of fast, exotic cars. Luckily, there are a number of events happening regularly around Northern California for fast car enthusiast to get out and enjoy so I’ve plenty of pics me and my trusty cameras have taken over the years…

UPDATE: Now Dale bought up a good point: I did originally mention fast cars from some of the cool shows I’m been to here in the Bay Area. If you read the original posting from this morning (Cali Time), I left out the above slide show of really fast, really expensive cars; replaced by a different type of classic found below. I realize now there’s no good reason not to include BOTH fast exotic cars and an amazing tune named, ‘Fast Car’.

With that said, I stand corrected in my challenge post, with REAL fast cars reinstated into the mix- I also give you my version… or Tracy Chapman’s version of ‘Fast Car’ from Wembley Stadium in London circa 1988 to hopefully set a good vibe for your Monday.

…to be enjoyed slowly…

  1. Hey, that’s cheating! Hahaha, great song though.
This was the Nelson Mandela concert. She only got to play because Stevie Wonder’s synth broke down and they needed someone to fill the empty stage time. I think she was still in town from somewhere she’d played the night before and was just in the right place at the right time.

      1. Ha! I’m late getting to these comments, but you are right. I will update the post with some shots of the exotic cars from some shows I’ve been to.

See how I though out of the box on this challenge??? (Smile)

    1. LOL! That’s not cheating!!! The actual name of the song is ‘FAST CAR’ so there… Besides, I did use a photo collage of fast cars as my featured image just in case…
I’m trying to imagine getting to play your hit tune at a venue like that honoring someone like Nelson Mandela and as a last minute replacement too??? She definitely did her thing…

    1. Really? Cool! It was a last minute decision, but I figured, hey- why not do something radical? It’s a great tune, its name is ‘Fast Car’ and it is about …a FAST CAR, so why not???

Dale says it’s cheating, so I’m going to update with some shots of my favorite exotics just to keep it truly fast car-related.
