Fantasy Fotography: Sutro’s Hidden Pirate Cove

Ahoy, matey! It’s a pirate’s life for me… Okay, maybe not…

I know I say it lots here on Obzervashnal, but in my mind, it always bears repeating for whatever the reason: I’m an ocean guy to my heart. All that means is most things concerning the ocean fascinate, intrigue, mystify, excite, inspire, or calm me. Always has, always will.

All of that just to say I knew after doing a post on the ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’ and it’s latest prompt REFLECTIONS, I wanted to add another post as a sort of ‘prelim’ to Monday’s upcoming response (to the challenge) post.

The above graphic was created from a photo I took at the mouth of, if not an official cave, then a passage through the rocks looking out at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach, The Cliff House on top of the rocks to the left, and a small portion of the well-known Sutro Bath Ruins to the extreme right and mostly out of the frame.

I’d like to tell you the lens flare actually happened during the shooting, but it didn’t. Doesn’t mean I can’t add my own, right?

I’d also like to tell you off to the left a pirate’s vessel filled with gold… well, maybe that’s a tale for another day…

    1. Lol! Okay, man see, now you owe your readers a post on this topic. You gave far too little info on what seems to my mind a great time in your life at an iconic San Franciscan ocean spot. Besides, it would be the first story of its kind for me to read.
