Welcome to a brand new Monday. For those in the know, Mondays around these parts mean another in the ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’ series. My buddy Dale and I alternate creating challenges for any and all to hone their creative chops.
This past Friday, it was my turn to offer up a prompt. I gave the following:
Yes, this challenge is all about food photography- but not just any food photography. What I’m really looking for is food photography done from home. Preferably a dish or three made by your own hands or the hands of someone you live with?
As for me, I have to admit. I do lots of cooking and experimenting in the kitchen, but very few food photos. With that in mind, I decided to focus on a single meal, a meal without too much else going on in the immediate vicinity.
One photo, several different angles, and several effects to add a little ‘spice’ to the mix.
See what you think with the shots below (done in slideshow format):
So, there you have it. My idea of a ‘Foodie For a Day’ (in the photographic sense!) As previously mentioned, I don’t do lots of food shots, but this challenge leaves me wanting more… food photos that is.
Joining in the fun isn’t hard, you know. Here’s how:
Create your post as you normally would. Copy your new post’s URL and paste it either into the comment section of this post or the challenge post appearing at Dale’s site today. The link to his page is up above.
Oh, I guess I should tell you what’s in the dish, right?
I eat lots of brown rice pasta. No exception here. My ‘traditional’ pasta sauce includes Andouille chicken sausage; red onions; sun-dried tomatoes; garlic cloves (chopped); white mushrooms, and herb-crusted goat cheese.
From stove top to table top? Twenty to twenty-five minutes.
Give the recipe a try. If you do, please let me know how it turned out!
Wishing each of you a fantastic Monday!
