Today, the last Friday in the month of June, brings to the Northern Californian quadrant of the Solar System cool temps and grey skies with the promise(?) of clearing later in the day.
It also brings, as it has for some months now, another prompt in the, ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’.
My buddy Dale and I typically take turns each Friday, offering up new prompts with the promise of a new unveiling every Monday. The responsibility falls to me this week and with the Fourth of July weekend approaching here in the U.S., I initially thought I’d take the challenge in that direction.
All of that changed when I watched a set of fantastic documentaries on Ancient Sumeria
Watching those docs led me to consider a very different prompt, one which is partially inspired by the ancient gods of the people of Sumeria/ Mesopotamia and my already well-developed interest in all things outer space.
With that in mind, I offer you all the following prompt:
As is the case with all the challenges Dale and I create, if you choose to take on the challenge, you’re free to interpret and create however you like. It’s up to you.
If you’ve not joined in the fun before and are considering it, here’s what you need to do:
Create your post as you normally do. Give it a title where you use at least one of the keywords from the image/prompt title above. Come Monday, you can copy your post’s URL and paste it into the comment section of either Dale’s or my own Monday challenge post.
Lastly, if you add our #CosPhoChal tag to your post’s tags it makes it easy for others to see and cheer for your work!
A final note:
You’re free also to choose one of the two topics or both. It’s all up to you.
If you’re here in the States, have a fantastic Fourth. For everyone else, have a phenomenal weekend!
