K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Unexpected Beauty

new years resolution, photo challenge

Welcome All to another Monday here at Obzervashunal, and with it, another in the ongoing series, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge my buddy Dale and I put together some time ago.

This week, or I should say, this past Friday, I offered up the prompt to get the new week started:

UNEXPECTED BEAUTY

What is it? How would you define it?

The way I see it is it’s the unmasking or discovery of beauty either where you’d never expect to find it, OR having an opinion of something sensory (sight, hearing, touch, etc…), returning to it, and finding deeper meaning or…yes… beauty in it- whatever ‘it’ is!

Hope my definition makes sense?

Anyway, with definitions out of the way, here’s what I came up with as my version of Unexpected Beauty:

I will add, I discovered these amazing silk screens, unexpectedly, at San Francisco’s fantastic Asian Art Museum. A place well worth the visit if you come for a visit or live here and have never checked it out.

So, are you convinced your version of Unexpected Beauty might fit well with our challenge this week?

It’s not hard to join in. Here’s what you need to do:

Create your post as you normally do. UNEXPECTED BEAUTY is your theme and, if you like, use those two words in your post’s title.

Once done, you can copy your post’s URL and paste it into the comment section of this post or Dale’s Monday challenge post (linked above!!!). This creates what’s called a ‘pingback’, letting others see your amazing work.

When choosing your tags, be sure to use our #CosPhoChal tag. It’s one more way to help others see your work.

Here’s hoping the remainder of your Monday is filled with lots of UNEXPECTED BEAUTY…

    1. Thanks, dude. I rediscovered a whole slew of photos I took at the museum some time ago and thought they’d make a perfect addition. I’ll figure a way to get some more from that day loaded up,
