The one clue my buddy Dale gave that stayed in my head regarding this week’s latest prompt in the ongoing, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, was the prompt related itself to something we all possess:
Now, I know in the past I’ve offered up a few challenges that may have causes a few of you to step back and say ‘wow, not sure where I’d go with this one…’
Dale’s SKIN prompt initially felt like that for me…
Of course, somewhere during the weekend past, I had an idea which ultimately became this post.
Earlier this year, we here in San Francisco had one of our seminal outdoor events. It’s a yearly event celebrating the various ‘skins’, cultures, costumes, and peoples hailing primarily from Latin America.
We call it Carnival and trust me, it’s pretty darn cool!
How cool is it, you ask?
Well, I’m sharing a few (more!) of the over one thousand photos I took during the event so you can possibly answer the question of coolness for yourself.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you my answer to the prompt/challenge set forth by Dale this week-
Dale’s right- we all have a skin we wear, but the beauty of both an event like our Carnival AND Life in general is whatever way you decide to showcase or represent your skin… let it be a celebration…
…it’s also okay if you celebrate the skins of others…
…I highly recommend it!
Hey! If you’re thinking about joining us on this or any future challenge of ours, the process isn’t too involved. Here’s what you do:
Create your post as normal. Copy that post’s URL (address) and paste it into the comment section of Dale’s or my Monday challenge post, effectively creating what’s known around these parts as a ‘pingback’. This lets others easily and speedily find your awesome work.
Lastly, don’t forget to use our #CosPhoChal tag along with any other tags you choose, and you’re done!
