We’ve made it. We’ve made it into a brand new year; twenty-eighteen, to be exact. Here in Northern California, it’s a little cloudy, a little cold (I know, I know!), but I’ll take those conditions compared to the conditions of lots of locations around this great blue globe we call Earth.
It’s a new year. It’s also Monday, so that could only mean one thing both here at Obzervashunal and over at my buddy Dale’s site:
It’s time for the unveiling of the latest, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge!
If you were with us last year…well, last Friday, which was actually last year (cool, huh?), you’d know all about the prompt we submitted for today’s challenge:
YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND TOMORROW
This is the part in the post where I usually admit I didn’t know where I wanted to take this prompt, but, sometime within the passing of the old year and the dawn of the new, I had a few ideas show up in my mind.
Here then is what I decided on for, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, our first challenge posting of twenty-eighteen:
These first three shots represent my ‘yesterday’… a ‘standard version of three photos I took. What they do here is serve as a base- a means for me to consider what editing or effects I might come to use later…
These next three represent my ‘today’… still kind of standard, but with a noticeable added effect here and there. For the most part, these three have all gotten a dusting of gold color added to the mix.
And, last but not least, these final three versions represent my ‘tomorrow’… the same three shots, this time given what I call a ‘painted graphic look’. Again, nothing drastically different, but a noticeable change from the first three (yesterday) originals.
What about you? It’s never too late to add your creative voice to out challenge mix. It’s a challenge that’s really not too challenging.
Here’s what you’d need to do:
Create a post like you normally do, only title it something similar to the one above or the one you’ll find at Dale’s site (linked above!) Once complete, copy your new post’s URL and paste it either in the comment section of this post or the challenge post at Dale’s place. Be sure to also use our #CosPhoChal tag along with any other tags you choose to use and guess what?
Here’s to a fantastic twenty-eighteen, filled with creativity however YOU define it!
