A brief disclaimer:
I’m well aware many portions of the USA, and the world at large, do not experience the type of winter we here in the northern quadrant of California do. The one area of the globe I do know has a similar climate structure is the Mediterranean.
We each have relatively mild winters, kind of on the dry side, with occasional rain in the first months of the year. We coastal folks also don’t tend to warm up too much, and when we do it’s usually for a few day at a time only.
Why the disclaimer?
Well, because it’s Monday, and Mondays here at Obzervashunal and at my buddy Dale’s excellent site, are reserved for the latest unveiling of the latest, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge!
This week, Dale took charge, and on Friday past, left us with the following prompt:
REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL
As I head out into the morning; a soon to be sunny one, I realize one of the things that keep me cheerful with just the barest hint of a permanent smile on my face is:
Yeah, I’ve got to take that route today. Why? Because it’s always the ‘right route’ for me. Nature has always held the power to ease my mind, focus my thoughts, and yes- make me feel a bit cheerful!
No revelations here. Spend any time flipping through my posts and the evidence is clearly there.
Doesn’t hurt that we here in the Bay Area have some pretty cool ‘nature hangouts‘, which by the way start coming to spectacular life right about… NOW.
So, there you have it: Oh, well, no you don’t have it yet! I’d help if I added a few photos to show exactly what I’ve been going on about, wouldn’t it?
…a few of my reasons to be cheerful:
These types of scenes may be months away for some of you, BUT my number one hope in posting this group of Nature shots today is just to say: hopefully shots like these- scenes like these are on the way and sooner rather than later!
Don’t for get to check out Dale’s fantastic post! He’s linked, as always, up above.
If you’re considering adding your reason for being cheerful to our challenge today, know that YES, YOU CAN! Know also, it’s not so tough.
Here’s what you do:
Create your post just like you’ve done billions of- well like you normally do. Once complete, copy that post’s URL and paste it into the comment section of either Dale’s challenge post (linked above!!!) or this one right here. Doing so creates what’s called a pingpack- a way for others to see your brilliant work faster.
Lastly, consider using our #CosPhoChal tag, along with any other tags you like to use and you’re all set to get out and enjoy this amazing Monday!
