This Friday past had me excitedly welcoming the SUN back to our Northern California skies. In my obzervashun, it had been far too long since I’d enjoyed a sunny day so I wasn’t about to miss that one.
Good thing Fridays, both here at Obzervashunal and at my buddy Dale’s site, also mean time for a new prompt in our ongoing, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
Seeing how it was my turn to come up with a new prompt, I chose the following:
WINGS ACROSS THE SKY
I could easily have turned to my archive of shots for something appropriate, but decided in celebration of the sun’s return, I’d go out with camera in hand and get some new shots and that is exactly what I did!
This time of the year, I knew I’d have no trouble getting a few decent shots at one of my favorite hangouts, The Palace of Fine Arts. There are a good number of bird species moving through the area just now and they didn’t disappoint!
Here’s what I came up with:
Now granted, three of the shots are of our local pigeon hordes, but seeing them zip around the palace air spaces only to time and again land on the head and shoulders of these statues were worth pointing the camera and doing a little fresh archiving.
The final shot is of a mighty fast Great Blue Heron zipping directly above my head! I considered tossing the shot as its head and a bit more didn’t make the shot, but well, I didn’t!
How about you?
We’ve already, both here and at Dale’s site (linked above) got some stellar interpretations. If you’re still considering adding your creative voice to ur latest challenge, check out my Friday post for more details.
With that said, here’s to a great week ahead for us all!
