Welcome to another Monday here at Obzervashunal.
As some of you know, and some of you may not know, Mondays both here and at my buddy Dale’s spot, are dedicated to, The K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge and the responses created from those of you who chose to join us on this cosmically photographic journey.
Now, having been the one offering the prompt for this new challenge, I did what I sometimes do, which is to change my mind on what I wanted to say creatively.
I finally did decide on the following images; putting a black and white spin on them in an attempt to spotlight the shape, shadow, and silhouette work in each of them.
Here’s what I did:
Of the four images you see, one of them, the angels in the alcove, has seen life on a previous post or two. It’s an image I really appreciate. If you’re in San Francisco and have never been to The magnificent Palace of Fine Arts, you owe it to yourself to take a walk around the grounds and lake. You can’t miss the dome in the center if you tried, so head to its middle and look up at the angels all around you. On a sunny day, the shadows and silhouettes are simply amazing.
Well, that’s my take on the challenge in four black and white parts.
How about you?
Check out a few of our other challenge posts and r prompt posts fr more on how it’s done and how to join in.
Also, please check out the comment sections both here and at Dale’s site. There you’ll find links to the amazing works and interpretations of those who’ve already joined in. Even if you don’t add your artistic voice to this one, consider commenting on anything that moves or inspires you?
With that, I’m hopefully heading out into the day and into the park with the camera. Here’s hoping your Monday is filled with cool bits and pieces of nature, but also with lots of shapes, shadows, and silhouettes… you know, the ones that make you smile!
