Okay. I admit, choosing the title of the prompt for the latest in my buddy Dale’s and my ongoing, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge, may have had a little something to do with the time of year and, delving further, the proximity to what we here in the USA consider the preeminent Summer holiday- The Fourth of July or… (wait for it) Independence Day.
Shameless, yes, but, it might surprise you to know that instead of going with ‘traditional’ Independence Day fare (such as fireworks and barbecues), I ultimately chose a different route and hence, means of expression for my very own photographic answer to the challenging question of a State of Independence.
I tend to default to nature a lot here on Obzervashunal.
Because nature is never wrong, is why!
Take a second to process that, and in the meanwhile, here’s what I chose:
These magnificent birds- Great Egrets and/or Snowy Egrets- tend to travel/migrate in groups pretty much like many other migratory birds, but what I’ve been privileged to witness on numerous occasions is when they fly solo, ah, they truly seem to exhibit a certain State of Independence to me!
One of my goals is to publish a book od Egrets based on some of the thousands of photos I have taken of these stunningly beautiful birds.
It will happen.
In the meanwhile, that’s my take on the prompt.
How about YOURS???
I’ll looking forward, I’m looking forward!!!
