K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Misty Memories (Photo(s) and Poems!

Greetings All.

Welcome to Obzervashunal, my humble little corner of the WP universe.

Let me also take the time to welcome you to Monday (Happy First Day of Fall!!!), which as some of you know, is my buddy Dale‘s and my day of the week where we do an unveiling of our latest, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week, or to be more precise, this past Friday, we opened up our weekly challenge by asking YOU to provide us with a possible prompt.

We were fortunate enough to not only get an excellent prompt suggestion out of it, but the suggestion of adding a poem to the mix as well!

Now, as I mentioned in my Friday post, the challenge of ‘Misty Memories’ is one I felt I could handle just fine. Poems, on the other hand, well… yeah… I’m giving it a go even though…

Here’s what I came up with:

swans, birds, outdoors, Palace of Fine Arts, San Franciscoocean photography, black and white photography, Ocean Beach San Francisco

I stuck with a black and white/sepia theme for the photos.

When it came to the poem… This is what seemed appropriate and right:

Misted Memory

My memories may Mist with,

The passages of Time,

Yet the Love we shared so long ago,

Still beats its own sweet rhyme.

Closing my eyes to think of you,

I’m still wont to say,

The greatest love of all was lost,

The day you went away.

Maybe it’s the choice of not using color for the photos…

Maybe… it’s the SWAN’S fault?

Either way, I’m going to leave both photos and poem as my contribution to the challenge:

Thanks again to Frank and Eklastic for providing us with the suggestions.

Check out what Dale and a few other who linked to his site had to say and contribute to this week’s challenge with the link above.

Every one I’ve seen so far are stellar!

Happy week ahead, everyone!
