Welcome to a brand new week, a brand new Monday, and a brand new unveiling for my buddy Dale‘s and my ongoing, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
The prompt for this challenge was set last week by none other than Dale who asked us to venture back a short ways into the night we call Halloween 🎃 so as to come up with something suitably:
As is always the case, I took some time considering this one, as I’m sure those of you joining us did as well.
Here’s what I came up with:
So, here’s the break down:
The first one was not originally taken in black and white. The color version doesn’t have one iota of a ‘spooky vibe. Once I removed the color, man, this definitely felt spooky!
The second one happened during a San Francisco Giant’s World Series Parade. I was on my bike, pedaling around on the waterfront, looking for a decent spot to both watch the proceedings and hopefully get some good shots when THAT sky happened in front- well, to the right of me as I rode. Spooky? You bet! Oh. This shot happened in the…morning!
Shot three took place near one of my favorite spots here: The Pacific Ocean🌊. It’s another case of the original color shot having none of the shadowy, creepy and yes, spooky vibe of the almost color-free version. Gotta love experimenting, right?
Last but not least- I had plenty of other witnesses to this epically spooky sky transforming over one remarkable evening on the waterfront. I must say, I’ve yet to see another instance of so many people stopping to look up and appreciate the awesomeness of Mother Nature causing a sky symphony! A decidedly spooky one in my humble obzervashun…
So, that’s my interpretations… how about you???
It’s not too late, you know…
AND… it’s kinda fun, so consider giving it a try?
There’s a link up above to Dale’s site for more on the subject.
In the meanwhile, I’m about to enjoy a bit of OAT MILK ICE CREAM as I consider watching… you guessed it-
A SPOOKY movie!!!
Here’s to a great week ahead for us all.
