K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: What Dreams May Come

Greetings All.

Welcome to Obzervashunal, my home-away-from-home here on the WP.

It’s Monday, the beginning of a brand new week AND the beginnings of a brand new prompt for my buddy Dale‘s and my ongoing, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.

This week it was my turn to come up with a suitable prompt for the challenge and I went with the following:

What does it mean? How should you (or us, for that matter!) interpret such a broad, fantastical prompt?

Dale and I always say the same thing as a response:

However you see fit to interpret it is alright with us…

Here’s what I came up with:

Anyone who knows me knows how much of a ‘fantasy/dreams/imagination guy I am. Could be it’s written in my DNA somehow… or I’m just drawn to themes containing these concepts more so than others?

Whatever the reasons, I felt moved to revisit ‘ye old archives’ for a few of my favorites.

A few based on actual architecture here in the City, and a few reimagining works combining several ideas into one final piece.

I’ve recently found a few new ways to create my ‘visions’ and look forward to sharing some of the results of those experiments at a later (but not too much later!) date.

Check out Dale’s excellent take (and hopefully more than a few of you guys and gals as well!) with the handy link to his site found up above.

In the meanwhile, here’s to a great week ahead for us all!

  1. The language does not help me much. I use the translator and it varies what I mean. But let me say that the photos are fantastic. A clear invitation to dream in unimaginable fantasies. It’s like hitting the imagination and getting lost in outer space to see the Big Bang explosion. Regards

    1. Thank you for appreciating the photos! I am fascinated by your using the translator and your understanding that the translations it provides varies what you mean to say. I think this ties into my notions of ‘dream states’ and using one’s imagination very strongly. I also think my buddy Dale and I continually reiterate to those who read and participate in our challenges, how important it is for them to define the prompts in whatever way they like. We’re want others to feel free to ‘translate’ and create meaning in their own way. That’s what makes the entire process exciting and fun. By the way, I’d love to see YOUR interpretation of WHAT DREAMS MAY COME. It’s never too late!😊😊😊
