Welcome to a brand new Monday here at Obzervashunal.
For those of you who don’t know, Mondays are generally set aside both here ands at my buddy Dale‘s site for our weekly, ongoing, K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge.
This week, Dale’s at the helm and offered us the following prompt:
Now, as Dale suggested to us when he created this particular challenge, your post could be whatever you felt was your best shot(s) of 2019.
I like the ‘best shots from 2019’ idea. So much so, I went with these:
The first one I took at night (obviously!) on the San Francisco waterfront aptly named, The Embarcadero. An unusually warm night sent me out to the streets and the piers to cool down. I didn’t dare bring my massively heavy Nikon that night. The shot above was taken with my relatively new ‘smart phone’, which I’d had in my possession for less than a month.
Needless to say, I’m glad it was with me …
The second shot, also taken with the smartphone, is probable one of my favorite daytime views of the mighty Golden Gate Bridge. I definitely did a few effects to saturate the colors and sharpen the overall tone of the picture.
Lastly, a reworking of a pelican shot taken this fall. I’m not sure whyI chose it as a highlight of the year, but I did.
And those, my friends, are my three ‘spotlighted’ shots of 2019.
Here’s hoping Dale and I will see some of yours?
